Hi there! Grab a cup of coffee or tea and join me in my Maine backyard as I share some photos taken as various wildlife pass through. Some are taken with my DSLR and others with scouting cameras. Comments are always welcomed.
I've been getting quite a few clips this past couple of weeks of one
doe with twins and Delilah also with twins. I previously only saw one
fawn in clips with Delilah so was quite surprised to now be getting two fawns.Delilah continues to astonish me.
Delilah is a white-tail doe that appears to stay around our area. She was first spotted in 2008 with a injured bottom lip. Her lip looked terrible but she did not seem to have any problems eating. Does are generally difficult to tell from one another but this one was easy to recognize and I named her Delilah.
We soon saw that I was getting quite a few pictures of Delilah in our backyard woods on game cams so suspected she was living nearby. Each year since 2009 we have caught her on the camera when she was pregnant and after delivery but a fawn would be seen only later in the year. Delilah has kept her fawns well hid and out of open spaces. This last week I was so thrilled to get a video clip of Delilah and this years fawn down in our orchard. Thank you Game Cam!
